Granite machine base

For numerous milling applications, a machine base of natural granite offers considerable advantages with respect to precision compared to steel or polymer concrete. The reason for this is the fact that the linear expansion coefficient of granite has just half that of steel. The value for polymer concrete is up to three times greater than for granite. For high precision machines from LANG, granite is the optimal basis.

Damping

Granite (red) has extremely good vibration-isolating properties. Steel (yellow) and casted constructions (brown) on the other hand can not absorb vibrations properly enough. This benefit of granite is of special importance during the finishing process.

Thermal expansion

Granite (red) has the lowest expansion by temperature change (blue). Steel (yellow) and polymer concrete (brown) have a much higher expansion. This feature reflects itself 1 :1 on the surface and the quality of the work piece. Because of the usage of granite, LANG machines can achieve a higher quality

FLEX- Cut technology for perfect results

In LANG laser machines the specially developed, pioneering FLEX-Cut technology is used. This technique is a worldwide unique method during the clipping process of the data, which allows perfect results. Laser data, which are greater than the available scan field of the laser scanner, have to be cut into small data packages / fields and have to be put out one after the other. With other and older laser systems, clearly obvious overlaps were at the clipping edges. The new method intermixes the single data sets so that there are no recognizable borders for the human eye.

With LANG always one step ahead - Pulsaris series with camera system

With the Pulsaris 300 and Pulsaris 800 LANG provides two machines as a stand alone product or to complement existing LANG milling machines. The finishing or the superfinishing of the work piece can be done very easily with Pulsaris laser machines. An integrated camera system identifies the exact position of cubical and cylindrical work pieces and adjusts the data output to the position in the machine. The most important result is the reduction of the set-up time. Furthermore the work pieces can be measured and inspected with the standard integrated camera system. In both machine types the camera system is included in the basic machine. Both machines of the Pulsaris series are controlled by the LNC compact and can be equipped with a measuring system in all axes, to increase the high precision of the machines. Like in all other LANG machines, the 3D output software LDriver is used in the Pulsaris machines, as well. Furthermore the camera system is completely integrated in this software. Hence it is easy for the operator to use our laser machines, because they do not have to learn another software tool for the handling of the machine. Hereafter the illustration "Smileys" shows the procedure of the automatic detection and adjustment of the work piece. The blue smiley stands for the CAM data, the red for the position of
the work piece on the working table and the green for the adjusted work piece after position correction . Below the mosaic function is shown. This function splits an area of the work piece in many single pictures. After the scanning process the program combines every single picture to a complete picture to find the previously defined outlines, which allow the correct adjustment of the work piece.
